Photos: Pro-Biafra protesters block Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, cause gridlock towards Onitsha

Pro-Biafria protesters in the South East have blocked the Onitsha-Owerri expressway as they hold a mass rally calling for their agitation to be fulfilled. The group leaders ordered all shops in Owerri and Onitsha to be locked so that they can all participate in the rally. Meanwhile these photos show another set of the group in Abuja staging their own protest this morning. Continue to see more photos

In October, 2018 the Independent National Electoral Commission reshuffled chairmanship positions of 5 out of 15 of its committees. Amina Zakari was the then Chairman of Electoral operations and Logistics. As a result of this action she was given a new chairmanship position to head the Health and welfare committee. In January 2019, Amina was given a new role as the Chairman of the committee on collation centers. So the news going around on social media accusing her of spear heading the postponment of the February 16th election is FALSE as she is not in charge of Electoral operations and Logistics but rather Professor Okechukwu Ibeanu.
