Russian Ministry of Sport bans foreign managers from Russian football

Image
A very interesting news came out of Russia on Thursday afternoon after it emerged that the Ministry of Sport had signed a document banning all foreign head coaches. Former Chelsea coach, Andre Villas-Boas who is Portuguese and manages Zenith St Petersburg was reportedly planning to leave at the end of the season but it’s unclear if his tenure will last that long now. According to Eurosport, the bill was signed on September 21st and published on the official web portal of legal information on October 28th. Interestingly, the Russian national team can still be run by a foreign coach. At clubs, they can employ foreigners as coaches – but not the head coach. Of the sixteen clubs in the Russian Premier League, six are run by foreigners. It’s unclear how soon they will be forced to leave their jobs. This is happening in the 21st century.. but Only in Russia!!

Image
The Super Eagles striker who announced he was retiring from the national team on his instagram over the weekend said it was not an easy decision. Speaking with BBC Sports, Emenike said “It was not an easy decision. I didn’t think my international career would come to a sudden end, but that is life. Sometimes it’s better to remove yourself from an environment that doesn’t suit you mentally and physically and this is what I have done. I also felt it was important that people hear directly from me to avoid a funny twist to the story. I wish to thank the coaches who gave me a chance, fellow players and in particular big thanks to all my fans for their unconditional support.”

Photos: Canada has a new Prime Minister, he's tall, handsome and only 43 years old

Justin Trudeau Trudeau's election represents not just a change from almost 10 years of Conservative rule under Stephen Harper, but an almost unprecedented reversal of fortune for a Liberal Party that was nearly left for dead after the 2011 general election. Justin Trudeau, the son of late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, became Canada's new prime minister after his Liberal Party won a majority of Parliament's 338 seats on Monday. Trudeau is tall, 6'2 and trim and at 43, channels the star power, if not quite the political heft, of his father, who swept to power in 1968 as the Prime Minister. His late father, who took office in 1968 and led Canada for most of the next 16 years, is a storied name in Canadian history, responsible for the country's version of the bill of rights.  His father, Pierre Trudeau, who was prime minister until 1984 with a short interruption, remains one of the few Canadian politicians known in America, his charisma often drawing comparis

He promptly plunged his hand down the loo in a desperate but ultimately futile attempt to retrieve his phone, he got stuck and called for help. The unnamed man said: "My arm was stuck there and waste kept spewing out towards my face. It made me really sick. I just bought the phone so it really hurt to lose it so soon. But had I known the consequences, I would have never plunged my hand inside to try and get it."
